An award will be presented to a volunteer or to a citizen whose dedication and enthusiasm for crime prevention has provided a positive impact on the quality of life for others.  The recipient of this award cannot be an employee, sworn or non-sworn, of a law enforcement agency.   

Category I: Over 100,000 Population  – Congratulations to Jeff Wheeler!

Category II: Under 100,000 Population   - Congratulations to Selena Baker!

Outstanding Media Partner Award   

To annually recognize the significant contribution to crime prevention made by a specific media organization.   

Category I: Television - Congratulations to KJRH – Channel 2! 

Category II: Print - Congratulations to the Tulsa World! Accepting for the Tulsa World was Nicole Marshall.

Category III:  Radio - Congratulations to K-HITS 106.9!  Accepting for K-HITS were Jon Phillips and Carly Rush.

Outstanding Crime Fighting Business Award   

An award will be presented to the business that has made the greatest impact or provided the greatest support toward the crime prevention effort in their community.   

Category I: Over 100,000 Population - Congratulations to State Farm!  Accepting for State Farm was Mollie Trease.

  

Outstanding Community Crime Prevention Award   

To annually recognize the outstanding NON-POLICE community based crime prevention program-project (service clubs, PTA, schools, non-profits, coalitions, etc.) which enhanced crime prevention initiatives at the local, state-province, or national level.   

Category I: Over 100,000 Population - Congratulations to Briarglen Neighborhood!  Accepting for Briarglen was Christy Morrison.

 

Category II: Under 100,000 PopulationCongratulations to Keystone Neighborhood Watch!  Accepting for Keystone was Shelly Long.

Outstanding Unit of the Year   

To annually recognize the outstanding crime prevention units which have made the most significant contributions to the crime prevention profession. This category includes all police initiated programs-projects.   

Category I: Over 100,000 Population - Congratulations to the Tulsa Police Department’s Hispanic Outreach Program.  Accepting on behalf of the program were Jesse Guardiola, Sargeant Mark Sherwood and Major Walter Evans.  

Category II: Under 100,000 Population - Congratulations to the Broken Arrow Police Department.  Accepting the award was Chief Todd Wuestewald.
